OUR SCHOOLS

Foster Friends Uganda (FOSTERS) works closely with OVC organizations to support orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) around the country. This is done through granting equal rights opportunities for education to all children, and protecting children’s rights.

The organization so far works in-hand with 1 community school and also partners with 2 community based schools located in 3 different locations, providing free education to the orphans and vulnerable children. The organization provides orphans and vulnerable children with school fees aid every term, Scholastic materials, school feeding aid and school structure developments.

SILIMULA COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL

Founded in 2006, SILIMULA COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL inspires action and supports communities. The idea to setting up this school was first initiated by Mr. Segawa, with a vision to have series of educational aid programs for the less fortunate and vulnerable children around Uganda. In the horizontal expansiveness, the facilities are enviable. The school stretches aid to over 140 children from different parts of Uganda. This aid includes provision of educational facilities, food and water, shelter, life development programs and many more among all OVC's supported at the school. Foster Friends Uganda works in hand with Silimula Community School to educate and support many orphans, less fortunate and vulnerable children around Uganda

EXTREME HIGH SCHOOL

Extreme high school is also another idea that was implemented by Segawa Ephraim through Mentor Volunteers Uganda. The aim of setting up this school is that when orphans, and vulnerable children get to complete the primary level, they are still young hence require extensive support to continue studies at the high school level. So Extreme High School was set-up to help with educating different OVC's that get to reach the high school level.

The school started operating in 2011 and ever since, over 1000 children have been supported and graduated after completion of the high school studies.

Today, Foster Friends Uganda partners with Extreme High School to educate more orphans and vulnerable children that need to join high school for extended studies. Foster Friends Uganda presently support over 80 children at the high school level through Extreme High school.

MORNING STAR PRIMARY SCHOOL

Morning Star Primary School is a community-based school founded in Eastern Uganda in a village called

Butongole - Kaliro. This school supports orphans and the most vulnerable children with free education and a roof over heads to children without homes in this Village.

Butongole Village is one of the poorest villages in Uganda. Young girls in this village at the age of

13 years are getting married and giving birth at such a young age. Youths in their twenties are already grandparents. In such undesirable and uninformed situations, parents have been infected with HIV/AIDS and many of them have lost their lives and children are left suffering.

Many people in this village are also illiterates and this has created unemployment making many families unable to thrive hence children unable to acquire education and proper care. The challenges in this village are immense and they are hard on children born and living in such conditions.

Foster Friends Uganda learned about the condition in this village. It decided to open up a community school center to help with educating the young children building education from the foundation. This school center also acts as a home for children without homes.

Morning star Primary School is shaping and changing the fate of the next generation in Kaliro community.
