BACK TO SCHOOL YEAR – 2022
SCHOOLS
· Silimula Community Primary school – 135 children
· Kabumbi Community primary school – 110 children
· Extreme high school – 35 children
This school year, give refugee, orphans and vulnerable children what they need to start and succeed after a two year period of the pandemic (COVID-19) without school.
It’s a familiar story for many parents at the start of the new school year. Buying a new uniform, making sure the shoes are polished and running through the logistics of the school run for that all-important first day. It might seem stressful but our children are lucky to have access to a good education, and that we are there to worry about them and look after them.
For many refugees, vulnerable and orphaned children, having access to education is a struggle and being prepared for a new school year like the one after a pandemic (Covid-19) is impossibility. Many of these children have had to grow up fast since losing their parents, their priorities change from doing homework to surviving or looking after their remaining family.
At Foster Friends Uganda, we believe that education is a right – not a privilege. We want our orphaned children to become the architects, designers, and innovative thinkers of tomorrow.
Join us in giving these children the equipment (Scholastic materials) they need that we take for granted. Through our education care program at Foster Friends Uganda, $30 - $70 can provide books, uniforms, stationery and the rest of important scholastic materials for a child to start school.
Schools will be officially opening in the second week of January 2022, so we urge you to consider donating now. Please, act now and give these young lives the best start to the new school year.
